Poetry begins early

by Alain Serres, ill. Julia Chausson
A small pea, a strawberry, the sun. Shadows fall and night comes, while a flower fades. This simple, beautiful text might look like a story, but it sounds like a long poetical invitation to children to feel what poetry can be. It reveals a different way of looking at the world and making life lighter.

Galopping Words

by Martine Bourre
Short, tender and witty texts tell all about horses. Their perfect posture and the lines of their movement are beautifully drawn, whether they are supporting humans in growing food, travelling, communicating, fighting, seducing or playing. Though the horse has been tamed, its spirit remains free. Playing with rhymes and lines, the author shares with children her admiration for all horses.
