Proust's Madeleine

by Marcel Proust, ill. Betty Bone
Marcel Proust is obviously not a writer for children. But in the Remembrance of Things Past, several scenes of his childhood are perfectly adapted to young children. Marcel recalls his childhood while eating small biscuits, his mum comes to say goodnight but doesn't stay long enough to the young Marcel's will, his first love encounter with a young girl. Three extracts sparkling with happiness, magically illustrated with lively colourful art.
